Connections

Connections are probably the most important way to market yourself as a Real Estate Agent. It is important to put yourself out there and make yourself known as a realtor. The more connections you form with people, the more likely you are to have someone reach out to you when they decide to buy or sell their house. As you talk to more people, your name will also get spread around and it will increase your number of clients. 

Social Media

A very common myth in real estate is that the only way to be successful and get clients is by making phone calls all day and telling people to buy this certain house. Not only is this usually highly ineffective but it also is not even used by the most successful agents. Social media is one of the best marketing strategies nowadays. Many brokers have a marketing director who deals with social media marketing. By having active social media accounts that display all current, upcoming, and sold listings, you are marketing yourself to others without the hassle of directly calling every phone number in your town.

Having a Website

Having a website is extremely important to properly market yourself because it displays everything about you and your business (As a real estate agent you are running your own business). With your website, you can send out emails with new or upcoming listings to people who have subscribed. Additionally, it is important to set up email preferences so that people can select how often they want to receive emails. It is also highly effective to send out a monthly email depicting all listings sold or listed throughout the month.
